Elena and Trevor’s wedding day had it all! Amazing friends and family, gorgeous weather at an even more gorgeous venue with so many spots for capturing some stunning film. An intimate outdoor ceremony, and a quaint spot for the reception made this a perfect day!
I began the day filming with Elena and her girls at the hotel as they excitedly prepared for the day. In a fun yet relaxed atmosphere, the girls chatted, enjoyed some light breakfast and sat for their hair and makeup. Some pretty flowers and cute little pictures of the couple were scattered around the room. We grabbed a fun robe shot and a quick toast, then took a short drive over to The Parque at Ridley Creek's impressive bridal suite for Elena to dress. Meanwhile at Parque, Patrick was with Trevor as he prepared to see Elena shortly.
Inside the bridal suite there are these amazing trio of mirrors amidst lots of windows and a ton of natural light. It's the perfect setting for a bride to dress. Elena's dress was perfect and her veil was stunning. Long and elegant, it complimented her beautifully.
Elena had been planning a little surprise for Trevor...they had planned on a first look, but instead of the traditional bride walks up behind groom and taps his shoulder scene, she wanted to truly surprise him! With some quick planning we had Elena walk right in to where Trevor was getting some pictures done. When he turned and saw his beautiful bride it was a perfect moment filled with excitement and real emotion. What a fun way to do a first look!
The ceremony was absolutely beautiful! Wrapped around a running fountain, which was draped with elegant flowers, our couple's guests witnessed them say their "I do's". They then descended to the rustic patio where cocktails were enjoyed before entering the reception hall.
Elena's uncle got the party started by announcing the bridal party into the room, some heartfelt toasts were made, and everyone enjoyed the rest of the evening with dinner, dancing and perhaps a little walk under the stars.
