You have so many questions swirling in your mind. After all, getting married is a significant event that doesn't happen every day. You want everything to be perfect. To assist you better, we've compiled some of the most frequently asked questions and provided comprehensive answers for your convenience. Let’s start with a few questions about us

 
 
  • Patrick has been in the wedding industry for over 25 years. During this time he has worked as a freelance photographer and cinematographer for various studios before opening PSH for business 15 years ago. Patrick has captured hundreds of weddings and events and brings his rich experience to each and every event that PSH is hired for. Since 2009 Stephanie has been an integral part of PSH behind the scenes and on site as a lead and second shooter.

  • Weddings add up to about 80% of our work, and we wouldn’t have it any other way! We also offer services from portrait photography to corporate commercial photography and videography and everything in between. We even have an Art Gallery with photos for purchase for home and office décor.

  • Patrick and/or Stephanie attend every event that they are contracted to document. When applicable, we call on our trusted group of associates as needed to fulfill package requirements.

  • Over the course of 25 years we’ve captured hundreds of weddings, probably over 1,000! But who’s counting??

  • PSH is a small family business, not your typical “wedding factory” company. We attend each event that we’re hired for and all editing is completed in house. For this reason, our goal is to attend one event per weekend. However, we’ve been known to make exceptions for our clients' close family and friends if scheduling allows.

  • Absolutely yes! PSH is a fully insured LLC. Upon request we'll send your venue any required documents.

  • We offer a variety of options in our collection of packages to choose from beginning at $1,900. We also offer a 10% savings when booking both photography and cinematography together. Our clients typically reserve packages ranging from $2,500 for one service to $6,500 for both services.

 

Packages and booking process

  • Our packages include everything you’ll need for your photography and/or cinematography coverage. This includes timeline planning, day of coverage, online gallery, etc. For specifics please fill out a contact form and we’ll send you more information.

  • Yes! A complimentary photo engagement session is included with each photography package.

  • Travel up to 80 miles in one direction is included in the prices listed.

  • Most of our couples will reserve two photographers and/or cinematographers for their wedding. This not only allows us to be in two places at one time but also gives you many more angles and views throughout the day along with many other time related advantages. However, we understand that not everyone’s budget is the same and do offer single shooter packages.

  • Patrick has many years experience capturing events as a solo shooter and knows how to plan and use your time to its greatest advantage for you. With a little planning and mutual understanding this is not a problem at all.

  • To answer this we’ll need to know more about your day and your expectations. We offer options from a small elopement to full day coverage. We’ll be happy to discuss package options with you over a zoom or phone call to help you with this.

  • Simply put, no. Since we are a small family oriented studio, we will only commit to one couple per day. Therefore, due to the high demand of our services we work on a first come first serve basis and make no exceptions to this policy.

  • A 40% retainer, along with a signed contract, is required to reserve your date. The remaining balance is split equally into three more installments. The final balance is due three weeks prior to the event date. If you require alternative terms please let us know, we’re happy to work on this with you!

  • As soon as your date is reserved we close the day off for any other events and turn away all potential clients. For this reason retainers are not refundable.

  • There are no sick or PTO days in the wedding business. However, in the event there is truly an emergency that keeps Patrick and/or Stephanie from attending your wedding we have many trusted friends and associates to call upon if needed. We also belong to local industry groups that help each other out in emergency situations. The good news is that in over 25 years Patrick has never missed an event!

 

After your wedding

  • We do not outsource any work. All editing of photos and videos is completed in house by Patrick and Stephanie.

  • The amount of photos you’ll receive is totally dependent upon the events of your day. We do not quote a minimum amount and do not cap at a certain amount. However, a good estimate would be about 80 photos per hour.

  • The short film included with our packages range from 1-2 minutes with an option to extend this video. The edited raw footage film typically ranges from 60-90 minutes. As with our photo count, we do not quote a minimum amount of time and do not cap time either. The final length will depend on the events of the day.

  • We edit all of the footage captured into one continuous 4K resolution video arranged in chronological order. Footage will include the entire ceremony, introductions, first dance, toasts, parent dances, etc. You’ll see your most important events and hear everything exactly how it happened from start to finish. The film is then delivered via a private online gallery for streaming just as you would for your favorite movies and TV shows. For more details please fill out a contact form.

  • We quote 10-12 weeks in our contract for completion. However, we’re happy to say that we’ve never taken this long! Times will vary depending on the time of year with seasonal demands and volume.

  • The online gallery is where you’ll view, share, and download all of your images and videos. Galleries are not indexed in any search engines for privacy. Only you and those that you share your private link with will have access to the gallery. It is strongly recommended to download and save your files on multiple portable storage devices for safe keeping.

  • PSH Photography & Film retains all copyright of the images it captures. Under no circumstances may any client alter any image or file. Clients receive a print release for all images included with each photography package.

  • Yes we can! We use professional print labs that use only the highest, archival quality supplies.

  • Of course! Each photography package comes with a full print release so that you may order and make your own prints and/or albums.

  • We do not offer raw files as a part of any package.

 

Gear and equipment

  • We use the Sony family of cameras and use the latest mirrorless technology available. All cameras, audio recorders, and equipment are professional grade and provide the highest of image quality.

  • All of our cameras record to 2 memory cards simultaneously. In the rare event that one should have a failure there’s already a backup recorded. We also set up additional cameras to record events simultaneously with our main cameras.

  • Yes! We bring several camera bodies and lenses to each and every event. We also bring enough batteries and cards to last the entire weekend.
